Why I write
During my recovery from depression and anxiety, I found two things that helped me: exercising and writing. I began to make exercise a priority and then I started to write.
When I began to write, I realized writing freed a part of me that had been trapped. Writing was a way to express myself that I never knew existed.
Writing brought out the truth, the darkness, the light, pure, magical love, the depths of nightmares, the ultimate fantasies, and the hope of true happiness.
From writing, I was able to tell my story.
I created fictional stories based on my feelings; elation from working out, fears from my past, hoping to one day share with the world.
I journaled and created poetry and prose of the feelings I held captive.
I share my writing, in hope that others will see that happiness and healing is possible. Maybe someone will be able to come to peace with an injustice that was done to them. Maybe they can free themself of the darkness that has been holding them back from being beautifully, wonderfully you. ~Gina

“My unspoken mission began to unfold. My goal became to help women like me see the beauty and strength
that resides deep within all of us, if only we would let each other see behind our masks.”
